In their shoes....

Why can't I envision myself as Vidya who taught me happiness is everywhere ? Should I learn from Vineet who says sky is not the limit to your dreams? Can I make my mind as Rahul who sees the world in a different perspective?

These were a few questions which were haunting in my thoughts after reading the fiction manuscript “In their Shoes” by Dipen Ambalia.

The book is a collection of well portrayed short stories narrated in a realistic way by the author. It is an attempt made by the author to give the readers an insight to view the world in the different eye. It is about how the world will look and feel like by being in the shoes of different people.

Starting with the title of the book till its epilogue, the author has kept his readers interesting with a good amount of thought processing. He has tried to bring in up 13 characters who act to be your next door person, yet they are different. They see the whole world in a different perspective which we fail to do so. They take the best things in the world and presume to be owner of their life. It made me to think that the best in you or the happiness in you lives among yourself while we are searching for it everywhere and everyone. Every phrase from the book makes you to be in the shoe of the 13 protagonists.

The ones which touched and kindled me to write this post are some of the characters like 7 year old Vidya, 77 year old man, a 24 year old mentally challenged girl etc.

I am not going to pen down more of the book here or else you will lose the crisp of the thoughts which the author wants to share with the readers. Who knows, may be you are about to read your own account there as well. I am sure the stories will definitely take you to reality to visualize the world and its people from their angle.

This is one of the finest book I have come across in the recent times. Thanks to the author for portraying the characters as its own.

What are you still waiting for, go rush to your favorite site and add that to your cart.! I guess “Good Reads” gives the readers a good offer on this book, go grab it up. Indeed it is a good read to start your day with.!! :-)

Signing off from an ardent book lover. Books are always special and best pal for any blogger.!

In short, as the author says – “In their shoes is : By the ordinary, Of the ordinary & For the ordinary…!
